Best time to do Buran Ghati trek is during the pre-Monsoon months (April, May June) and post monsoon months (Sept, Oct, Nov) In the rainy season the trek is closed due to harsh weather which makes it suitable for this period. In winters Hampta pass trail is not accessible due to heavy snowfall and extreme cold weather conditions. So, plan your Buran ghati trek accordingly.

We start early from Shimla and embark on a scenic drive to Janglik village. The drive takes approximately 7-8 hours, covering a distance of around 160 kilometers. Enjoy picturesque views of the Himalayan foothills and small villages along the way. Arrive at Janglik village by late afternoon or early evening. Settle into the campsite at Janglik and relax for the night

Set up camp at Dayara Thatch, relax, and enjoy the serene ambiance.

Today is reserved for acclimatization and exploration. After breakfast, hike to Chandranahan Lake, which is located at an altitude of around 4,200 meters. Spend some time at the lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes. Return to Litham by late afternoon and relax at the campsite.

Once we reach Dhunda Meadow, you'll be greeted by expansive grasslands surrounded by snow-capped peaks, offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Set up camp at Dhunda, unwind, and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Begin the day early with breakfast at the campsite. Today's trek involves crossing the challenging Buran Ghati Pass. The trek ascends steeply towards the pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks. Cross the Buran Ghati Pass, which is situated at an altitude of around 4,550 meters. Move towards Munirang, trekking for 7 KM which take approx 9 - 10 hours. Reach Munirang, a beautiful riverside campsite, by late afternoon or evening. Set up camp at Munirang, relax, and celebrate the accomplishment of crossing the pass.

The trail descends through lush forests and meadows, offering scenic views. After arrive at Barua village, where we will drive back to Shimla. Once we're on the road, enjoy the scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of Himachal Pradesh. We'll pass through charming towns, winding mountain roads, and perhaps even catch glimpses of the Himalayan peaks on a clear day.

NOTE: Please book your hotel in Shimla in advance and book the rest of the booking accordingly.

2. If you cancel your Buran ghati trek within 10 days prior to its start.

  • Can do any other trek in one year and reduce the cost by same
  • Take back 50% of the amount.

3. If you cancel your Buran ghati trek just 7 before the trek date.
